I hate to give anywhere a bad rating, it sucks. But I rely on reviews and ratings so feel it necessary to be honest. It unfortunately didn't look like the pictures and so we landed up canceling our booking once we arrived. It's on the main road and far from the beach. The rooms and place overall needs some TLC.
The basics are comfortably covered place is clean, air-con, good pressure shower, decent sized room w desk & fridge. If you're wanting extras then this isn't the place for you althoigh although there's a decent sized pool out back.Eng TV an added bonus. Beware elevator not working during week. Q*bano Restaurant behind (which independently run) is a great find- good quality solid food at v reasonable prices. Prompt and professional service, Clean and spacious outdoor site.
The room we stayed in had three beds. It was a full suite with a small kitchen(coffee pot, microwave, and refrigerator included), dining room table, and living room (with a couch and chairs). Our room had a nice balcony. There is a casino beside the hotel. Grocery stores, restaurants, and other small businesses are located close by. The manager, Rosemary, was very friendly and helpful. You can request laundry service for $10.00 per load. This includes washing, drying, and folding your clothes. You can hear the traffic noise from the Panamericana Highway, but the reasonable prices compensate for this. We received a good deal by making accomodations on booking.com. This hotel is not modern, but the rooms are clean and the service is very good.
Elevator not working and was not disclosed at time of booking. 2 ND floor is really third and no help with luggage. Large suites. Tacky furnishings. Not a cheap place but convenient to Pan-American. Nice pool.
The manager was very kind and she went out of the way to make sure I knew everything required and that I was happy. The reason I'm only giving it a three is because of the noise level. The road noise from the constant trucks was so loud it went straight through my earplugs. Bed was good, nice pool.
